WOW! I wish I could find the right words that expressed my feelings at this moment. To borrow an old family saying – I feel lucky to know you guys. When you decided to pursue this adventure to ride your bikes across the country, I know I was less than enthusiastic. It certainly wasn’t without it’s trials, tribulations, mishaps and challenges. But you met each one with logic, creativity, and determination. There were so many wonderful people along the way that aided you in your journey which paints such a different picture of “us” than I have been carrying around with me. We, Mothers, have to face the conflicting reality that our biggest fear is some harm coming to you, and our strongest desire is to give you wings so that you are fearless in facing the life ahead of you. Thank you for putting the effort into the blog to take us all along. And – Thank You, Joanna, for being my sounding board on the other coast when I got scared. I am particularly blessed because I get to meet up with you Sunday follow you into Seattle. What a Treat!
Congrats Joe & Colin! I’ve been following your progress the whole time, in a creepy internet stalker sort-of-way…haha! Looked like a ton of fun! Let me know when you are back in Rochester, I want to hear all about it!
RAAAAY YOU MADE IT WITH BELLS ON111 I must admit I cried We wish we could be with your mother and father but we will see you at the end of the week. We followed the two of you the whole way and I am tired just watching. Rest and have FUN! Dave and Eileen

Well done people! I’ll be there on Sunday 3rd Aug, had hoped to catch you up but you proved to be too quick. Have you heard any more from Matt? All the best, Dominic (the british cyclist).
Hi Guys – Congratulations! It has been great following your progress and seeing all those wonderful pictures. We’re proud of you both!
Tony and Mary Alice (and Emma and Chloe too)

Congratulations to you guys!! I have been following your might trek vigilantly and discussing the details with Marta. While she is enroute to celebrate your achievement, I’ll be headed to Sacramento with two howling kitties in the car.
I’m sure I’ll see you before you head back to NY as Marta and your Mom have agreed to be my surrogate family while I’m living in Sac.
I’ve shared your story with several of my family members and they are awed by your determination and will to succeed. You guys are crazy (and I mean that in the nicest way possible)!
Excellent work Joseph. Too bad you missed lunch with me before you left! What did you get a flat tire before biking across the continent? Pretty flaky if you ask me. I was going to buy and everything. Seriously though – it looks as though you had a great trip. Good luck if you and kate stay out there – if not, come visit me. Congrats!
Congratulations to both of you…..what an absolutely incredible achievement! Looking forward to seeing you, Colin.

I’m sorry, but amidst all these wonderful comments, I have to be the asshole to ask: what lake are you standing next to, and what’s the big deal?
